Crunchyroll will stream the anime in 2027.
Crunchyroll revealed a new set of character visuals for the upcoming anime “Ghost of Tsushima: Legends” at the Anime Expo. A new staff member has also been announced. The anime is based on the Ghost of Tsushima video game and its Ghost of Tsushima: Legends multiplayer mode. The series will premiere in 2027 and Crunchyroll will stream it globally.

What do we know about the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime so far?
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Kamikaze Douga has revealed the new visuals for the anime.
This includes of the Hunter, Assassin, and the Ronin characters:

All of these characters have been designed by the show’s newly announced character designer Takashi Okazaki.
Takanobu Mizuno is directing the anime at Kamikaze Douga. Gen Urobuchi is penning the series composition and also writing the scripts with Renji Oki. The series is being produced in collaboration with Aniplex, and Sony Music is the music and soundtrack partner.
What is Ghost of Tsushima: Legends about?
The anime is based on the Ghost of Tsushima action-adventure video game which came out in 2020. It tells the story of Jin Sakai, a samurai tasked to protect Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan at the time of the Kamakura Shogunate. Its multiplayer mode, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, was released in October of 2020, and made available separately in September 2021.
A sequel game titled Ghost of Yōtei was released in 2025. It features a new protagonist and a story 300 years after Jin Sakai’s adventures, set in Hokkaido.
