What is GLITCH WITCH about?
GLITCH WITCH takes place on 10 April, 2029, in the same universe and timeline as THE GHOST IN THE SHELL. The story unfolds while Motoko Kusanagi and Aramaki are preparing to establish Public Security Section 9. Meanwhile, a series of incidents breaks out across the United States, drawing the attention of the FBI, AI researchers, and the military.
The manga is Masamune’s latest story set in the THE GHOST IN THE SHELL universe, with the events directly intersecting with the original series.
Masamune, who created THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, is handling the original concept and character designs, while Azuma (The Immortal Kamikaze Trooper, Keishicho Zoshi) is drawing the manga. The series will be updated every other Wednesday.
Chapter 1, titled “Who Snapped the Cherry Branch, for Whom Did the Flowers Bloom?” is now available to read on Yanmaga Web.
