Gachiakuta Season 2 details
Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about the possible release date of Gachiakuta Season 2. One of the illustrations for the second season of Gachiakuta was created by Kei Urana, the author of the manga. The other is from the manga’s graffiti designer Hideyoshi Andou.
Moreover, a stage play adaptation and a game adaptation of the Gachiakuta manga have also been announced. A visual has been released for the stage play, with the names of the actors who will be playing each character in this new adaptation also revealed. The stage play will debut sometime in 2026 in Japan.
The game adaptation, called GACHIAKUTA: The Game (working title), also released a short trailer. It will be adapted as a survival action RPG which faithfully brings the manga and anime to life. The game will be available on Playstation, Xbox, and Steam.
The first season of the Gachiakuta anime came to an end with 24 episodes. Beginning in Summer 2025, the show became one of the most popular shōnen titles of the year thanks to its dark atmosphere and gritty storytelling. The anime is based on Kei Urana’s manga of the same name. Kodansha publishes the manga, and describes the story as such:
Rudo lives in the slums of a floating town, where the poor scrape by under the shadow of the rich who live a sumptuous life, simply casting their garbage off the side, into the abyss. Then one day, he’s falsely accused of murder, and his wrongful conviction leads to an unimaginable punishment—exile off the edge, with the rest of the trash. Down on the surface, the cast-off waste of humanity has bred vicious monsters, and if Rudo wants to have any hope of discovering the truth and seeking vengeance against those who cast him into Hell, he will have to master a new power and join a group known as the Cleaners who battle the hulking trash beasts of the Pit!
