FLIPFLOPs’ popular manga series “Darwin’s Game” manga series received a spin-off novel titled “Darwin’s Game ~Flag Game~” in 2020. This year, the spin-off novel is getting a manga adaptation by Gunno. Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine announced that the manga will launch in the magazine’s November 2026 issue, which will ship in October.

When is the Darwin’s Game ~Flag Game~ manga being launched?
The Darwin’s Game ~Flag Game~ manga will release its first chapter in October, in the November issue of Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine. The original novel was released in December 2020 by Akita Shoten. It depicted the past lives of Shuka and Rein, which was not shown in the original Darwin’s Game manga.
What is Darwin’s Game about?
The Darwin’s Game manga is created by FLIPFLOPs, which is a duo consisting of Shū Miyama (formerly known as Ginko) who wrote the story, and Yuki Takahata, who drew the illustrations. The manga launched in Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine in December 2012 and ended in October 2023.
Titan Manga has licensed the Darwin’s Game manga in English and will publish the first omnibus volume on 10 November. Titan Manga describes the story as:
Kaname Sudo's life changes forever when he accepts an invitation to Darwin's Game, a mysterious mobile app that thrusts its players into real-life battles using supernatural “Sigils” with terrifying effects. Darwin’s Game inspired an anime adaptation by Nexus, which aired from January to March 2020. Crunchyroll and HIDIVE currently stream the anime across various regions.
The manga is also getting a live-action movie adaptation, which will premiere theatrically in Japan on 12 March, 2027.
