“Fired? But I Maintain All the Software!” workplace comedy light novel gets anime adaptation

The 5th volume of the manga adaptation goes on sale on 5 June in Japan.

The publisher Shufu to Seikatsu Sha has announced that Yuki Kashirome’s workplace comedy drama light-novel series “Fired? But I Maintain All the Software!” (E, Shanai System Subete Wanope Shiteiru Watashi wo Kaiko desu ka?) is getting an anime adaptation. However, no other details such as the cast, staff, or release date were revealed.

What is Fired? But I Maintain All the Software! about?

As previously mentioned, no other details about the anime adaptation has been revealed. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Shufu to Seikatsu Sha’s Comic PASH! manga website announced that the 5th volume of the light novel’s manga adaptation will ship in Japan on 5 June, 2026. 

The original light novel series by Yuki Kashirome serialised on the user-generated website Shōsetsuka ni Narō from November to December 2020. An epilogue chapter came out in July 2022. Shufu to Seikatsu Sha published teh first printed volume with illustrations by icchi in May 2021. io’s manga adaptation of the title began serialising in the publisher’s Comic PASH! website in August 2022. J-Novel Club releases both the light novel and manga in English and describes the story as:

Ai Sato is the sole engineer maintaining her company’s internal systems. It’s too bad being the linchpin who keeps it all running won’t protect her from sudden layoffs.
