The new trailer for the anime revealed additional cast and other details.
A brand new trailer has been released for the upcoming anime “Even a Replica Can Fall in Love”. It was revealed that the series will premiere on 7 April, 2026. Moreover, the teaser also unveiled additional cast and theme song details.

The new cast members joining the anime are:
- Yuki Takada as Ritsuko Hironaka
- Kaori Nazuka as Suzumi Mori
- Jun Fukuyama as Jun Mochizuki
- Rina Hidaka as Kozue Sato
- Shugo Nakamura as Haruka Yoshii
Previously announced main cast members of the anime are:
- Sumire Morohoshi as Sunao and Nao
- Ryōta Suzuki as Akiya Sanada
The new trailer previews the opening theme song ‘Refrain’ performed by shytaupe, and the ending theme song ‘Awa’ performed by asmi.
Ryuichi Kimura directs the anime at Voil. Tomoko Shinozuka is overseeing the series scripts and writing them with Misaki Morie. Eiji Abiko is designing the characters of the series.
The anime is based on a Japanese light novel series written by Harunadon and illustrated by raemz. It began publishing in February 2023 under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint. It also has a manga adaptation by Momose Hanada, which began serialisation in the same publication’s Dengeki Maoh magazine in April 2023.
Yen Press publishes the novel series in English and describes the story as:
When she doesn’t feel well, when there’s a test, when she doesn’t want to go to school... I take her place. I’m her replica. I’m not meant for anything else. But that changed when I fell in love. I wear my hair up so the boy I fell for knows it’s me. We skip school and promise to meet again tomorrow, and every day after. I’m her replica.
