The Eren the Southpaw anime is based on a web manga series by Kappi that began back in 2016 and ended in 2017. A remake of the manga, illustrated by nifuni, was published in Shonen Jump+ from 2017 to 2022. A live-action television drama adaptation also came out in 2019.
The story of the series follows Koichi and Eren, two teenagers who met as high school students. Koichi is inspired by Eren, who is a talented left-handed graffiti artist. After meeting, Koichi begins his journey towards becoming a designer while Eren embarks on a path to become an artist. Years later, after being dropped from a project in his ad agency, Koichi visits the place where he first met Eren. On the other hand, Eren also struggles with her life in New York as a recognised graffiti artist.
