The second season of the anime has come to an end.
The popular anime “Dorohedoro” just finished airing the 11th and final episode of its second season. Right after, it was announced that Dorohedoro Season 3 is already in production. The anime’s director, Yuichiro Hayashi, celebrated the news with a special illustration.

When is Dorohedoro Season 3 coming?
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime announced that Dorohedoro Season 3 is already under production. The news was accompanied by a special illustration of Devil Caiman by director Yuichiro Hayashi. Unfortunately, no other details like the third season’s possible release window, have been confirmed at the time of reporting.
A new celebratory illustration by original mangaka Q Hayashida has been released as well.
What is Dorohedoro about?
The Dorohedoro anime is based on Q Hayashida’s manga, which was serialised in Shogakukan’s Monthly Ikki magazine from 2000-2014, and in Monthly Shōnen Sunday magazine from 2017-2018.
The first season of the anime adaptation, animated by MAPPA, came out in 2020, and Netflix released it a few months later worldwide. The second season aired from April to May 2026. Crunchyroll and Netflix currently stream both seasons of the anime, alongside the OVA.

In a city so dismal it's known only as "the Hole," a clan of Sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious "experiments" in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they're hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they'll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of "cleaners" into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.
