Season 2 of the anime adaptation of Disney’s hit narrative JRPG will focus on the Savanaclaw dorm.
The official YouTube account of streaming giant Disney+ unveiled a special video for the Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation series announcing the anime’s second season. Season 2, titled “Episode of Savanaclaw” is now in production.
What will Season 2 be all about?
Since Season 1 focused on the Heartslabyul dormitory, Season 2 will change perspectives towards the Savanaclaw dorm, and will therefore adapt the “Episode of Savanaclaw” manga series illustrated by Suzuka Oda. The series has two volumes and 7 total chapters.
The Savanaclaw dorm is composed of students who are natural athletes or practice martial arts. The dorm references Disney’s “Lion King”.
The cast members for Savanaclaw dorm have already been previously introduced. They are:
- Yuichiro Umehara as Leona Kingscholar
- Taito Ban as Jack Howl
- Aoi Ichikawa as Ruggie Bucchi
The main protagonist, Yuken Enma (voiced by Yohei Amazaki) will be embroiled in an intriguing mystery when strange accidents occur during the interdorm Spelldrive tournament.
Takahiro Natori is the chief director and series composer of the anime, while Shin Katagai is the director. Yoichi Kato is the main writer, and Hanaka Nakano and Akane Sato as character designers. Yumeta Company and Graphinica are in charge of the animation's production.
Season 1 premiered exclusively on Disney+ as part of the Fall anime lineup last 29 October. The story is officially described as:
A dark fantasy animation inspired by Disney villains.One day, high school student Yuuken wanders into Night Raven College, a prestigious magic training school with seven dormitories.
Yuuken suddenly finds himself living in another world, and visits the Heartslabyul dorm with Grimm, a monster he meets at school. There, he finds the dorm leader, Riddle, feared as the "Crimson Tyrant," ruling the dorm students according to the rules of the Queen of Hearts.
Why did Riddle become such a tyrant who strictly enforces the rules? After meeting Yuuken and his friends, the destinies of the rule-bound dorm students begin to change.
