“Devil May Cry” Season 2 returns to Netflix on 12 May

Netflix’s popular anime take on the Devil May Cry game series is returning! It has been confirmed that “Devil May Cry” Season 2 will be coming to the platform on 12 May, 2026. The news has been revealed by a press release, as well as the social media accounts of Netflix Geeked. 

Devil May Cry Season 2 details

Netflix has released a brand new teaser visual of Dante for the upcoming season. Previously, a short first look trailer was revealed for Season 2, which gave us a glimpse of Dante’s fateful meeting with his brother Vergil. From the looks of it, the conflict between the two brothers will be the main focus of the sequel.

The main cast of the animated series includes:

  • Johnny Young Bosch as Dante
  • Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary (Lady) 
  • Hoon Lee as White Rabbit
  • Chris Coppola as Enzo Ferrino
  • Kevin Conroy as William Baines 
  • Robbie Daymond as Vergil

The Japanese-dub cast of the series includes:

  • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Dante
  • Fumiko Orikasa Lady
  • Hiroaki Hirata as Vergil

Adi Shankar continues to create the series at Studio Mir. Shankar has confirmed that the sequel will feature a more game-accurate Dante that people know and love.

The animated series is adapted from the game series created by Hideki Kamiya. The first season of the series debuted on Netflix on 3 April, 2025, and became one of the biggest hits of the year. The story is described as:

When a mysterious villain threatens to open the gates of Hell, a devilishly handsome demon hunter could be the world's best hope for salvation.
