Studio Trigger revealed during Anime Expo 2026 that the long-awaited second season of “Delicious in Dungeon” (Dungeon Meshi) will premiere in October 2027. A new teaser visual for the anime was revealed, and it was announced that Netflix will exclusively stream the anime globally as it airs.

What do we know about Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 so far?
An ‘ultra teaser visual’ featuring all the main characters of the anime has been revealed. The anime will return in October 2027 and stream only on Netflix globally.
From where the anime ended last season, we can assume that the second season of the anime will begin with adapting the First Floor Interlude arc of the manga.

Yoshihiro Miyajima will direct the second season of Dungeon Meshi at Studio Trigger with Kimiko Ueno as the story editor. Naoki Takeda designs the characters while Yasunori Mitsuda and Shunsuke Tsuchiya compose the music. Kohei Yoshida is the sound director of the season.
What is Delicious in Dungeon about?
The anime is based on Ryoko Kui manga series, which was serialised from 2014 to 2023 in Kadokawa’s Harta magazine. Yen Press publishes the manga’s volumes in English and describes the story as:
When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions...and a member! They're eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they're sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: "Let's eat the monsters!" Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons...none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!
