Yuichi Nakamura has joined the anime cast.
It was revealed back in July 2025, that the popular classic sci-fi manga Cyborg 009 is getting a new anime adaptation in 2026. It has now been confirmed that the new series, titled “Cyborg 009: Nemesis” is set to premiere in Summer 2026. A famous voice actor has joined the anime cast. The theme song has also been revealed.

Beloved voice actor Yuichi Nakamura, known for voicing Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen, is joining the cast as the new character: Nemesis 009/Graviton. The character description for Graviton states (machine translated):
He originates from England and his power is Gravity manipulation. Former special forces member. He was severely wounded during a military operation in a war zone and returned home. Since then, his only goal is “completely eradicating evil”.
No other cast members have been confirmed as of yet.
The theme song of the series is ‘Taga Tame ni’, which was written by the original manga author Shotaro Ishinomori, who passed away in 1998. The song was originally written for the 1979 Cyborg 009 anime and has been newly arranged for the Nemesis series. Kyoko will perform the new version of the song.
Hideki Anbo directs the new Cyborg 009: Nemesis anime at studio ARECT, with Ishimori Productions producing the project. Atsuhiro Tomioka and CHARATEX write the screenplay, and sanorin designs the characters.
The Cyborg 009: Nemesis anime was announced to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the original manga Cyborg 009 by Shotaro Ishinomori, which began publishing in 1964. It got several anime adaptations including one in 1968, one in 1979, and one in 2001. The manga was also adapted into several anime movies and a radio drama.
