Who is working on “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II”?
Kai Ikarashi is directing the sequel at Studio Trigger after previously directing Episode 6 of the original anime. Masahiko Otsuka returns to handle the screenplay alongside showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, while Ichigo Kanno serves as character designer.
Who is Weak Kingsley?
Weak Kingsley is the first original character introduced for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II. Apart from a teaser visual and the tagline "Heavy is a crown. Heavier is the chrome," no additional details regarding the character have been revealed.
Judging from the teaser visual, we can expect three more character introductions in the future. We already know one character from the initial teaser released in 2025: the child with the camera, who is likely going to be the star of this iteration.
What is “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II” about?
Announced during Anime Expo 2025, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II is a brand-new standalone story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Unlike the first season, which followed David Martinez, the sequel will feature an entirely new cast of characters.
According to the official description, the anime is "a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge" spanning 10 episodes.
