What did CD Projekt Red reveal about Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2?
Alongside the trailer, it was also revealed that the featured song ‘You Can't Run From Me’ by Rico Nasty is now available to stream on all music platforms.
The official website of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 also reveals the four main characters and describes them as:
- Weak Kingsley
Once known as “King,” a veteran edgerunner at the top of his game, Weak now lives in the shadow of his former glory.
- D
A Snake Nation netrunner with sharp technical skills and a sharper hunger for revenge, D hunts the killer who wiped out his clan.
- Roman Carax
Roman Carax is a young cinephile chasing real stories in a city that’s abandoned film for braindance. Obsessed with documenting truth, he shadows the lives of others — only to learn that unlike his favorite reels, Night City’s stories are messy, brutal, and rarely tied up with a clean ending.
- Talia Yang
Raised in corpo towers but hardened in Maelstrom’s grip, Talia is fiercely independent and steeped in the gang’s hyper-violent, chrome-obsessed culture.
CD Project Red will also be taking Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 to the Anime Expo 2026, taking place in Los Angeles from 2-5 July. On 3 July, a panel dedicated to the anime will exclusively screen the first episode of the series. But attendees won’t be able to record or stream at the event.
The panel will include the anime creators: showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, executive producer Saya Elder, and director Kai Ikarashi. D’s voice actor Nazeeh Tarsha will also be in attendance. Popular content creator Danny Motta will host the panel.
The series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs by Ichigo Kanno and a story written by Bartosz Sztybor of CD Projekt Red, and Masahiko Otsuka.
The official website describes the story as:
CD PROJEKT RED and TRIGGER return to Night City with a new story, fresh characters, and an even more raw, brutal take on the world of the dark future.
