Crunchyroll has announced in a press release that it’s partnering with Kodansha USA to bring 23 manga titles from Kodansha’s back catalogue to the Crunchyroll Manga service on 18 May, 2026. The popular titles from this list include Attack on Titan, Chihayafuru, Parasyte, and Fire Force. Moreover, the service also brings Shueisha’s Dricam!! manga by You Chiba to their roster on the same day.

As previously mentioned, the Crunchyroll Manga survive is only available in the USA and Canada right now. The ad-free app is separate from the main Crunchyroll anime service. However, people who already had the Ultimate Fan tier subscription in Crunchyroll will be able to access the service without any additional costs. Fan and Mega Fan-tier subscribers will have to pay an additional fee to read manga.
The Crunchyroll Manga service is powered by the Link-U Group, a Japanese media company that operates the digital manga site Comikey, digital manga store Compass, the webtoon company Studio Moon6, as well as the VTuber streaming company Romanz. Crunchyroll has also partnered with publishers such as AlphaPolis, Compass, Square Enix, Viz Media, Yen Press, Shueisha, J-Novel Club, and ThirdlineNEXT.
