Global anime streaming platform Crunchyroll has announced that the 10th annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards will return to Japan on 23 May, 2026. The final ceremony will take place in the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa, Tokyo. The event will be livestreamed for the global audience!
10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards details
Crunchyroll has confirmed that the nominees across 32 categories for this year’s awards will be announced on 2 April, 2026. Fans globally will be able to vote for their favourite series, movies, and creators from last year to help them win.
The awards ceremony will include a star-studded orange carpet, a global pre-show, and many live performances. The highlights of this year’s ceremony so far include:
- A 30th anniversary tribute to Neon Genesis Evangelion performed by Yoko Takahashi
- Symphonic suites by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra

Voice Actress and performer Sally Amaki will return to host this year’s Crunchyroll Anime Awards ceremony with entertainer Jon Kabira. Crunchyroll’s own talents Lauren Moore and Tim Lyu will host the global pre-show.
