The popular dark fantasy anime series Clevatess announced its second season back in September 2025. It has now been confirmed that Clevatess Season 2, titled "Clevatess II -Majū no Ō to Itsuwari no Yūsha Denshō-" (Clevatess II -The King of Magical Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero-) is coming out in July 2026. Although the exact release date hasn’t been revealed, the new trailer has revealed new cast members and details about the upcoming arc.
Clevatess Season 2 new cast and other details
The five new cast members joining the sequel anime are:
- Shuichiro Umeda as Ray
- Yurina Kikuchi as Mary Merry
- Tatsumaru Tachibana as Andrew
- Ryouta Suzuki as Tiegel
- Hiromu Mineta as Leon
The new trailer gives us a glimpse of what’s to come. The main characters will enter the magic academy in the upcoming season, where they will meet a host of new people, as well as face off against new monsters. The new key visual also shows Alicia and Clevatess in the magic academy. Crunchyroll will stream the second season as it airs.
Kiyotaka Taguchi is returning to direct the second season of the Clevatess anime at studio Lay-duce. Keigo Koyanagi handles series composition while Soichiro Sako designs the characters. Nobuaki Nobusawa composes the music.
The anime is based on the manga series created by Yuji Iwahara which began in 2020. The first season of Clevatess is currently streaming on Crunchyroll who describes the story as:
