Kuroha, the author of the popular slice-of-life manga “Chronicles of the Going Home Club” has launched a brand new manga series titled “SATANICA”. The first two chapters of the series were released on 9 May, 2026, on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website.

What is the SATANICA manga about?

The first two chapters of the SATANICA manga are already here. Fans can read it for free on Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform online. Unlike the Chronicles of the Going Home Club manga, which was a slice-of-life story of some high school students having as much fun as they could doing idle activities, SATANICA focuses on an occult club and their various comedic efforts to keep their club alive. Manga Plus describes the plot as:

Machino and her friends are hard at work on their occult research again today. But one day, the student council tells them that their club is being disbanded... Determined to save their club, they’re setting out on a mission towards revival! Eating snacks, chatting, and summoning demons whenever they have time. A laid-back, heartwarming comedy about an occult research club!

If you love the Chronicles of the Going Home Club manga or its anime adaptation, then you can check out SATANICA for a different, more supernatural-focused comedy. However, both of the series have kept the laid-back nature alive.
