What is Paws and Palaces about?
The anime is based on a Chinese webcomic titled Forbidden City: Cat Imperial Study by A'Nan and Daitu.
The story follows six cats: Soubi, Oboi, Heian, Zeze, Momo, and Rohan, who live in China’s Forbidden City. While the visitors know them as ordinary cats, these felines are anything but. Away from the prying eyes, they enter the inner worlds of the imperial palace’s many treasures, and fight against a demonic entity known as the Black Owl to keep them safe.
