The anime is based on the 2021 mixed-media project by King Records.
It was announced back in November 2025 that the 2.5D mixed media project “Chōjin-teki Share House Story Charisma” (Superhuman Shared Residence Story: Charisma), is getting an anime adaptation. Titled “Charisma” the series is set to premiere in January 2027. The latest update also unveiled the staff members and other details for the upcoming anime.
Charisma anime project details
The short video gives the audience a glimpse of all the different projects that were previously a part of the franchise. Then it settles into the new key visual for the anime, announcing the release window.
The cast of the anime includes:

- Masahiro Yamanaka as Rikai Kusanagi
- Katsumi Fukuhara as Iori Motohashi
- Kenta Hosoda as Kei Sarukawa
- Saku Hyuga as Ohse Minato
- Genki Okawa as Terra
- Tomohisa Hashizume as Amahiko Tendo
Jouji Furata is directing the anime at Pierrot Films, with Shuu Matsubara handling series composition. Ebimo is in charge of designing the characters for the anime. EVIL LINE RECORDS is handling the music composition. Matsubara and Dazed CO., LTD are the creators of the series.
King Records launched the Superhuman Shared Residence Story: Charisma, aka the Charisma House, project back in 2021 under their EVIL LINE RECORDS label and Dazed. The 2.5 mixed-media project centers around 2D characters created by Shuu Matsubara. The project consists of manga, live musical performances, music releases, audio dramas, stage plays, and now an anime.
A manga titled Charisma: Kyou mo Heiwa desu, by Rin Manda and Iori Irino was serialised from January 2023 to December 2024. A spin-off manga by Sou Taiba titled Charisma: Charisma na Karera wa Charisma House de Karizumai-chu, was serialised February 2023 to December 2023.
The Charisma House project centers around seven young men who live in a shared house. Each of them embody a type of ‘charisma’, which makes their living situation really entertaining.
