The Chainsaw Man anime franchise’s latest installment, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, has just crossed another massive milestone. It was revealed by the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime that the film has earned JP¥ 10 billion at the Japanese Box Office.

The Reze Arc movie came out on 19 September, 2025 in Japan, and promptly reached the top spot in earnings. It seems that even after 103 days since its release, the film is still going strong, as it just surpassed JP¥ 10 billion in domestic earnings. It was also revealed that over 655 million people have watched the movie since its release.
The Chainsaw Man manga author Tatsuki Fujimoto has released a new illustration of Denji and Reze to celebrate the news. The movie will be available to stream on Crunchyroll, but an exact streaming date is yet to be revealed.
MAPPA has announced that a new season of Chainsaw Man is already in the works. Although there are no other details available about the upcoming season, the short teaser released at the Jump Festa 2026 revealed that it will adapt the manga’s Assassins Arc.
The Chainsaw Man anime is based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga series of the same name. Viz Media publishes the series in English, and describes the story as such:
