BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 4-The Calamity details

The fourth and final part of the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War saga is titled ‘The Calamity’, and will air in July 2026. It will cover the final arcs of the BLEACH manga. The new trailer brings together glimpses from all past seasons of Bleach, and shows us what to expect from the final showdown between Ichigo and Yhwach. A new teaser visual featuring Ichigo and other characters has also been released.

Other than the upcoming season announcement, it was also revealed that a new project titled  “TV ANIMATION ‘BLEACH’ THE STORIES” will be released to celebrate the final stretch of the classic anime. The project will feature an illustration from the BLEACH manga author Tite Kubo, depicting the protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki’s growth throughout the anime.

The official BLEACH TV anime YouTube channel will stream selected episodes from the anime. They will also include previous opening and ending theme videos and roundtable discussion videos featuring the cast members of the anime.

Hikaru Murata directs the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War series at Pierrot Films with Tomohisa Taguchi as the Chief Series Director. Masashi Kudo designs the characters while Shiro Sagisu composes the music. Yukio Hasegawa, Kiyoshi Komatsubara, and Kumiko Takayanagi are the Chief Animation Directors while Satoshi Sakai and Takashi Hashimoto are the Action & Effects Animation Directors.

The BLEACH anime is based on Tite Kubo’s popular manga of the same name. Viz Media published the manga in English and describes the story as:

Ichigo Kurosaki has always been able to see ghosts, but this ability doesn't change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society. While fighting a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans who display psychic energy, Rukia attempts to lend Ichigo some of her powers so that he can save his family; but much to her surprise, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy. Now a full-fledged Soul Reaper himself, Ichigo quickly learns that the world he inhabits is one full of dangerous spirits and, along with Rukia--who is slowly regaining her powers--it's Ichigo's job to protect the innocent from Hollows and help the spirits themselves find peace.
