The first episode of the anime will get a special screening at Anime Expo.
The popular anime “Black Clover” is finally coming back five years after the 170-episode run of its first season ended in 2021. As per the latest announcement, Black Clover Season 2 will air in October 2026. Moreover, the first episode of the series will get a special premiere on 4 July, at the Anime Expo 2026. Crunchyroll will continue to stream the series when it airs.

What do we know about Black Clover Season 2 so far?
Black Clover Season 2 will begin airing sometime in October 2026.
Ayataka Tanemura, the director of Black Clover Season 1 episodes 153-170 and the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie, is directing the second season as well. He will also attend the Black Clover panel at Anime Expo on 4 July.
Keiichiro Ochi is handling series composition while Itsuko Takeda designs the characters. Kumiko Tokunaga is the sub-character designer. Kosei Takahashi is the prop designer and Minako Seki is the music composer for the series.
What is Black Clover about?
The anime is based on Yuki Tabata’s manga series which began publishing in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in February 2015, and ended in May 2026. The first season of the anime came out in March 2017, and was planned for 51 episodes. However, it continued onto consecutive second and third “seasons” and ran until March 2021. The whole 170-episode run is now the first season of the anime.
