The manga is coming back after a nine-month hiatus.
We have some great news for the “Berserk” fans! The manga is coming back with its next chapter 384 on 12 June, 2026. The news was revealed in the previews from the upcoming issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine. Although no official confirmations have been released yet, the scanned copies from fans who already got their hands on the upcoming issue of Young Animal prove that the series is indeed returning.

Why is Berserk’s return so monumental?
Berserk, a dark fantasy thriller, is one of the most celebrated seinen manga series of all time. Unfortunately, the series’ future fell into jeopardy when the creator Kentaro Miura sadly passed away in May 2021. However, with the help of his fellow mangaka Kouji Mōri and a team from Studio Gaga, the manga was able to return in 2022. Ever since then, chapters have been released from time to time, followed by long hiatuses. The last chapter 383, came out back in September 2025.
Fans are understandably excited to see their favourite manga return with a new update after nine months. Not only is the manga coming back on 12 June, but it’s also getting a lead colour page, as was revealed by the leaks.
What is Berserk about?
The Berserk manga began serialising in Hakusensha’s Monthly Animal House magazine in 1988. It was later moved to Young Animal in 1992. The manga continued its publication in the same magazine until 2021, when Miura passed away. The manga has inspired two anime series, one in 1997 and one in 2016. A movie series spanning from 2012-2013 was also released.
Set in medieval Europe, the story of Berserk follows Guts, a wandering warrior and swordsman, who attracts the attention of Griffith, the leader of the mercenary group Band of Hawks. But when their leader betrays him and his comrades, Griffith goes on a dark and epic journey to get revenge on the powerful man.
