Baki Hanma is coming back to Netflix soon with the new anime series Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai. According to the latest update, the show will premiere worldwide on Netflix on 26 February, 2026. A brand new key visual has been released to celebrate the news.
Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai anime details
The Baki-Dou anime is based on the fourth chapter of Keisuke Itagaki’s popular Baki the Grappler manga series. Baki-Dou was published from 2014 to 2018 in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine and collected into 22 volumes.
Fans of the Baki and Baki Hanma anime series have been waiting for this for a long time. According to Netflix, the story of Baki-Dou is:

All the anime in the Baki series are based on Keisuke Itagaki’s original manga “Baki the Grappler”, which was published from 1991 to 1999. A sequel series titled Baki was published from 1999-2005. The next sequel Baki Hanma was published from 2005-2012, while the fourth series Baki-Dou was published from 2014-2018. The next series Bakidou published chapters from 2018-2022. The current Baki Rahen series has been serialised since 2023. The whole series follows protagonist Baki Hanma as he trains and tests his fighting skills against various types of fighters in a series of no-rules, hand-to-hand combat competitions.
