What is Inherit the Winds about?
Yutaka Narui is a revered Japanese playwright and the founder of the theatrical group Caramel Box. His Tachikawa Jinsuke series is a collection of four period plays set during the Meiji Restoration in the Bakumatsu era in Kyoto. The story follows a fictional soldier who is aided by a famous Shinsengumi member named Sōji Okita. The man is named Jinsuke Tachikawa by Okita and begins his new life amidst the Mibu soldiers. The anime is also getting a manga adaptation by Matsuri Muramatsu sometime in 2026. The manga will launch in Star Seas Company's Twi4 X (formerly Twitter) account.
