The anime has announced additional cast, split-season run, and more in a new trailer.
A brand new trailer has been released for the upcoming Armor Legends Samurai Troopers (Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers) anime, a sequel of the original Yoroiden Samurai Troopers series. It was revealed that the new series will air on 6 January, 2026. Additional cast, staff, spilt-cour run, and theme song details were also revealed in this massive update.
Armor Legends Samurai Troopers new cast, staff, and other details
The two new Defense Special Task Force (DST) members who support the Samurai Troopers are:
- Lynn as Mirei Aragaki (DST researcher)
- Toshiki Masuda as Ryūsei Oda (Trainer of the Samurai Troopers)
The voice actors for the emperor of the Demon Realm Ramaga and the ‘Ten Braves’ who serve him were also revealed. They are:
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Ramaga
- Takuya Satō as Sasuke
- Kōsuke Toriumi as Saizō
- Takuma Terashima as Kamanosuke
- Tomokazu Sugita as Seikai Nyūdō
- Kōhei Amasaki as Isa Nyūdō
Previously announced cast members of the series are:
- Hiiro Ishibashi as Gai
- Junya Enoki as Kaito Uesugi/Sōkyū no Kaito
- Ayumu Murase as Musashi Hōjō/Suiren no Musashi
- Shunsuke Takeuchi as Yamato Hōjō/Kōya no Yamato
- Kentarō Kumagai as Shion Ishida/Senkō no Shion
The new trailer of the anime features the opening theme song ‘YOAKE’ performed by rock band blank paper. The first ending theme song of the series is ‘POWER’ performed by ONE OR EIGHT. The anime will air over two consecutive split cours.
Yōichi Fujita directs the anime at studio Sunrise with Shōgo Mutō as the scriptwriter. Yuhei Murota designs the main characters while Tsukasa Kotoboki designs the villains, Hideo Okamoto designs the original Yoroi Gears, and Takuya Suzuki designs the Yoroi Gears for anime. Shūji Katayama composes the music. The newly announced production staff members are:

The Armor Legends Samurai Troopers anime is a sequel of the original 1988 Sunrise anime Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, which was known in the US as Ronin Warriors. The new series takes place in present-day Shinjuku, Japan, where five young boys don on the Yoroi Gear armours to fight the evil demon emperor Arago and save humanity.
