With Ms. Schlag’s help, the kids are able to get proof of Henderson’s innocence.
In the previous chapter of Tatsuya Endo’s Spy x Family manga, we saw how Mr. Swan and his lackeys framed Henderson so they could rig the school admissions and make money. However, Schlag was able to find them in time before they could attack Anya and her friends. In the recent chapter, we see how Schlag expertly brought him down, and the kids were able to find Henderson just in time.

Spy x Family Chapter 127-1 recap
We see that all the corrupt teachers that were fighting with the children have been defeated, and it seems to be the doing of Ms. Schlag. She starts to fight Mr. Swan’s lackeys expertly, and brings them down with some impressive moves using Tonitrus Bolts. Anya, Becky, and Damien are dazzled by her moves. Suddenly, two pieces of paper float in through the window in front of Anya.
As she picks them up, Anya realises that the papers are actually two photos. One of Mr. Henderson, and the other one of a man holding a briefcase full of money. After reading his mind, Anya realises that it was Loid who dropped them in from the roof after catching the person who made the fake. Becky is excited about the new proof of Henderson’s innocence, while Mr. Swan can’t fathom how this could have happened.
Ms. Schlag tells the kids to go save Henderson with the proof and bring him back to Eden. Swan tries to bribe her, but she curses him and promises to take him down. Damian calls Jeeves, and the kids are flown in a helicopter and dropped in next to Henderson via parachutes. Just as he hands in his resignation at the Ministry of Education, the children barge into the room and tell him to stop.
Even though the proof is right in front of him, Mr. Henderson doesn’t believe he’s fit to be an educator anymore. However, the children are able to sway his mind by telling him just how much they love being his students. He finally realises how much being an educator means to him. Unfortunately, it seems that the Ministry of Education worker already filed his resignation.
However, Henderson is somehow able to rescind his resignation, as his name is cleared. It seems that he will continue to be a teacher at Eden Academy.
Spy x Family Chapter 127-1 review
It has been a long time since a side-plot was resolved so quickly in Spy x Family, and it was quite refreshing to see. The mystery was engaging, and the pacing was exciting. With some amazing moves from Ms. Schlag thrown in, the story became even more enjoyable. It wasn’t too long, and didn’t get lost in between other story branches.
Overall, the newest plotline of saving Mr. Henderson was one of my favourites in a long time. I can only hope that Tatsuya Endo uses the same pacing with the manga’s main storyline. However, from the numbering of this chapter, it doesn’t seem that the problem involving the corrupt teachers is over quite yet!
