AFASG25 is set to take place in Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre this 28 to 30 November.
The upcoming Anime Festival Asia Singapore (AFA SG) 2025 has revealed exciting new updates ahead of the convention, which will run from 28 to 30 November at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Day Stage additional lineup
Lord of Mysteries
Lord of Mysteries will be holding a Day Stage event on 28 November, featuring director Xiong Ke and Screenwriter Liu Xing. Fans can expect behind-the-scenes secrets, updates, and more for this hit Chinese donghua!
SPYxFAMILY Season 3
The voice actors behind your favourite SPYxFAMILY characters, Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger), Kenichiro Matsuda (Bond Forger), and Emiri KAto (Becky Blackbell) will appear virtually on the anime’s Day Stage stream on 28 November.
OTSUKA RAY
Otsuka Ray is a single mother independent Vtuber from Japan, who gained popularity by doing fun karaoke streams with her five-year old daughter, Reika-chan. She will feature in her own Day Stage on 30 November.
The Beginning After the End
The reincarnation fantasy anime will join the bilibili Panel Day Stage, and will feature the voice actors for its two main characters: Natsumi Fujiwara (Arthur), and Chiaki Omigawa (Jasmine), with Sally Amaki as Special Emcee on 30 November.
Guest Cosplayers
Chocolat
Chocolat is a Japanese cosplayer with over 1.2 million followers, and is known as one of the most popular cosplayers in the country. She is highly praised for her versatility in cosplay, bringing both elegant beauty and youthful charm.
Hiroto Kuramasu
This will be Hiroto Kuramasu’s seventh appearance at AFA Singapore.They are most known for cosplaying ikemen characters, and being part of the hit otome game brand, Ikemen Series. They are associated with CYBIRD, and will also hold a meet and greet at the CYBIRD booth.
Ojigi
Ojigi is a popular cosplayer with over one million followers across various social media platforms. They have been selected as the official cosplayer for various brands and projects.
Thames Malerose
A popular cosplayer from Thailand, Thames Malerose has stood as a guest or judge in many cosplay events across Asia. He also featured as a guest in previous AFA Singapore iterations. Besides cosplay, he is also a successful streamer and the bassist of the Malerose Band.
Exclusive Meet and Greets
Simba Tsuchiya
Simba Tsuchiya is a voice actor known for his roles in Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, BURN THE WITCH, Haikyuu!!, Welcome to the Ballroom, and more. He will hold an exclusive meet and greet on 29 November at 11AM SGT, where he will hold a closed-door talk show and a Q&A session, participating fans will get to receive a signed poster and a group photo with the actor.
Sally Amaki
Sally Amaki is a voice actress, host, and youtuber, as well as an idol. Celebrated for her fluency in both English and Japanese, she will hold an exclusive meet and greet on 30 November at 4:45PM SGT, where fans can enjoy a closed-door talk show and a Q&A, plus a signed CD and group photo.
AFA Next Stage guests
The Next Stage will feature a variety of regional performances:
- Cho-Bon Dance Japan powered by Dwango – an interactive performance that brings a twist to the traditional Bon Odor.i
- LAM Live Drawing – LAM is an illustrator who will feature their cool and catchy style in a Live Drawing session.
- SUUPEAS – the official theme song artistes for AFASG25.
- STARKIDS – a Tokyo-based six-piece boy group.
- Milky Spot – a cosy rental cafe, they will bring their resident cosplayers, Nyaromenia, Hattie, and Kurumi for an anisong live performance.
- Dwango – Dwango will bring in two top creators from Japan: SatapanP, a Hyper-Vocaloid Producer, and Kuriyama Yuri, a Vocaloid Producer.
- Hachioji-P – a popular and beloved music producer and composer known for his EDM vocaloid songs. He is also a DJ who has performed all over the world.
- Bandai Namco Music Live – Bandai Namco Music Live will bring in Nowlu, a popular singer whose songs have featured in a variety of hit anime titles.
- FIFTY FIFTY – FIFTY FIFTY will bring in three up-and-coming groups to AFASG: Lollipop!!!!!!!, VII (Septem), and [Sanomorino].
- International Performers – AFASG will feature three international performers on Next Stage: Just Cosplay Sing,s, Snowstorm, and Zephyrianna.
