The upcoming second season of “Ace of Diamond Act II” anime just released a brand new trailer, announcing that the series will premiere on 5 April, 2026. Moreover, a new cast member and the opening and ending theme songs of the show have also been revealed.
Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2 details
Actor and Kiss-My-Ft-2 boy band singer Toshiya Miyata is joining the show’s cast as Koji Chimaru, who is a former relief pitcher that has been switched to the outfield. Previously announced new cast members of the upcoming season include:
- Shugo Nakamura as Koya Urabe
- Atsushi Tamaru as Soichi Nagira
- Kento Hama as Koji Nara
The opening theme song of the series is ‘Let's Go Crazy’ performed by Baby Canta, while the ending theme is ‘NUMBER’ performed by SUPER★DRAGON.
Hideaki Oba is directing Ace of Diamond Act II Season 2 at OLM with Kenji Konuta handling series composition. Yasukazu Shoji designs the characters while Hajime Hyakkoku is the music composer.
The popular baseball anime is based on Yuji Terajima’s manga Diamond no Ace (Ace of Diamond), which began serialisation in 2006 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine, and ended in 2015. The sequel, Ace of Diamond Act II, was serialised from 2015 to 2022. Madhouse and Production I.G. animated the first 126-episodes long Ace of Diamond series which ran from 2013 to 2016. Madhouse also animated season 1 of Ace of Diamond Act II which aired from 2019 to 2020. OLM is taking over production for the upcoming season.
KManga publishes the Ace of Diamond Act II manga in English digitally and describes the story as:
