Unfortunately, no new cast or staff members have been revealed for the upcoming season. The series will premiere in October 2026. Popular rock band FLOW is returning to perform season 2’s opening theme song ‘Sorrow’.
The first season of the anime was animated by Arvo Animation, with Taishi Kawaguchi as the director, Takamitsu Kōno as the scriptwriter, and Hiromi Katō as character designer. Crunchyroll currently streams season 1 of the series.

A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special is based on a Korean web novel written by Usonan, which was serialised in Kakao’s digital platform KakaoPage from 2016 to 2019. KakaoPage also released a webtoon adaptation in 2018, illustrated by Wookjakga.
Yen Press publishes the webtoon in English and describes the story as:
