The title of the upcoming movie is Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi.
A few months after the release of the 29th Case Closed anime film this April, Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback, it was announced that the 29th movie was also under production. It has finally been announced that the upcoming Case Closed movie, Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi (Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway) is coming out on 10 April, 2026.

It was previously announced that the 29th animated Case Closed movie will come out during Golden Week (29 April to 6 May). But it seems that the production team has fast-forwarded the release, much to the delight of fans. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Toho Movie announced the film’s title and release date along with a brand new key visual.
The new illustration is done by the original Case Closed manga author Gōshō Aoyama and features protagonist Conan Edogawa, Kanagawa Prefectural Police member Chihaya Hagiwara, Kanagawa inspector Jugo Yokomizo, teenage detective Masumi Sera, Chihaya's late younger brother Kenji Hagiwara, and Kenji's Police Academy classmate Jinpei Matsuda.
It was also previously revealed that Miyuki Sawashiro will be voicing the character Chihaya Hagiwara in the movie, replacing the late Atsuko Tanaka.
The Detective Conan TV anime is celebrating its 30th anniversary on 8 January, 2026. To celebrate the occasion, a special commemorative exhibit will take place in Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall from 20 February to 29 March 2026.
The Detective Conan anime and movie franchise is based on the legendary Case Closed manga series created by Gosho Aoyama. The story follows high school detective Shinichi Kudo, whose body was transformed into that of an elementary school aged child while he was investigating a mysterious organisation. We see Shinichi solve various crimes with the help of those around him, using his superior intellect.
