The publication company Shueisha has announced that the popular manga will end in just four more chapters. This means the manga will have a total of 200 chapters. The 196th chapter came out on 24 October, with the next one set to be published on 31 October, 2025.

The manga series is written and illustrated by Yu Hashimoto, who started publishing it in June 2019. There are a total of 24 volumes of the manga so far, and 1.7 million copies are in circulation worldwide.

An anime adaptation of the manga by J.C. Staff, aired from July to December 2024. A second season of the anime has been confirmed, although not many details have been revealed so far. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga volumes in English and describes the story as:

“I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Liliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Lilysa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer–and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Lilysa is into modeling the fetishy stuff! The boundaries between 2D and 3D start to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.
